Trammell Crow Co. and Northwestern Mutual Real Estate are teaming up to build a 6-story mixed-use project in Dallas’ Knox Street neighborhood.
Crow’s High Street Residential is building the project on McKinney Avenue just north of Knox. The Knox Heights project will include 182 apartments and ground floor retail space.
Construction will start on the project next year.
The more than one acre development site is between McKinney Avenue and North Central Expressway. The property is now occupied by a carwash, old apartments and small homes.
“Knox Heights will replace five aging buildings with shops, restaurants and apartments that will add to the walkability and vibrancy of the neighborhood,” Crow’s Joel Behrens said in a statement.
